Fall Fashions

Since I know that not all of my readers are Americans on holiday for the long Labor Day weekend, I thought I would post a little fall fashion inspiration from Vogue.  The fashion world in New York is not on holiday this weekend either.  They are putting the "labor" in Labor Day but toiling away in their ateliers and putting the final touches on their collections for fashion week.  I want to thank everyone involved from the designers on down to the pattern makers and seamstresses, and even the interns for all their hard work.  I also want to thank everyone who invited me to their upcoming shows.  I can't wait to see what magic you have dreamed up for Spring/Summer 2011.  Until then, I will be drooling over the fall fashions and planning my wardrobe.  Enjoy!

Lovely Loewe

As you are well aware, I love any type of marketing or magazine features that involve gorgeous interiors and exteriors.  The new fall campaign from the Madrid fashion house of Loewe (pronounced Low-eh-veh) has just that and is making me swoon.  There is something about the shots that remind me of the film I Am Love. The handbags and fashions aren't bad either.  Bon Weekend!

Chic Inspiration

I was looking for a particular photo of Catherine Deneuve recently when I started to notice that many of her looks were reminding me of the Chloe collection for fall 2010.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think the late 1960's and early 1970's were one of the chicest times in fashion history.  These clothing in these photos have a timeless quality and could be worn today.  Catherine Deneuve will definitely be my inspiration when I'm getting dressed this fall!  Enjoy!
